    Edzo enlisted in the United States Air Force

    Edzo was elected as a Local 718 Delegate to the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts.


    2000

    Edzo was appointed as a Local 718 Delegate to the Greater Boston Labor Council.


    2001

    Edzo was elected as a Trustee to the Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 Death Benefit & Welfare Fund.


    2002

    Edzo was elected as a Division 1 Executive Board member representing 800 uniformed members of the Boston Fire Department.


    2005

    Edzo was elected President of Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 IAFF, representing 1,600 uniformed members and 1000 active retirees of the Boston Fire Department.

    Edzo is elected Legislative Agent for the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts.

    Elected Executive Vice President for Public Sector of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO representing 400,000 union members.

    Appointed by the Governor as a Commissioner at the Department of Fire Services.


    Appointed by the Governor as a Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission. The GIC's FY2016 appropriation is $2.1 billion and covers over 435,000 people. The GIC is one of the largest healthcare purchasers in the northeast.

    Graduated the Harvard Trade Union Program Class of 2015. Elected by his fellow graduates as the class speaker at the Graduation ceremonies.

    While serving as Chairman of the PFFM EMS Committee oversaw the expansion of the scope of the committee. Under Edzo's direction, the committee successfully developed cutting edge legislation. After a lengthy and vigorous lobbying campaign, saw the Massachusetts Governor sign the first of it's kind legislation on Integrated Mobile Healthcare.  A system that will fully incorporate: nurses, visiting nurses, home healthcare, hospital groups, payers and consumers.
